Newsletter #1: Monday March Mask Party,  New Specials, Manyo Factory Is In, & New Laneige Lip Products

(Is it cheating if I add my newsletter to my Blog? This is the newsletter I sent out to my clients at the studio; thought I would add it here :)

Welcome to Shondra Jin Skincare's Newsletter #1!  I have so much to share with you, so let's get started:

MONDAY MARCH MASK PARTY

Monday 3/11 5:30-7:00PM

Freeport Werkes

Previous parties have been on Tuesdays, but the March party will be on Monday so people who can't make it on Tuesdays can attend (plus I like saying Monday March Mask Party).  The April Party will be on a Thursday. I might make this a monthly thing, like “Every Third Thursday: Shondra Jin Skincare Mask Party”- what do you think?   As always, come enjoy a glass of bubbly as I walk you through a multi-step skincare treatment (I think we're up to 15 steps!), answer skincare questions, show you what's new, and then send you home with enough product to complete a second treatment (plus a card good for 15 minutes free on your next treatment at the studio). Bring a friend and start your week off right! $25/pp, limit 12. If you haven't come to one of these yet, treat yourself and join us - we always have a fabulous time and leave glowing!

NEW SPECIALS:

I've purchased four new handheld devices: the Methode Brigitte Kettner Volero silicone brush (I've been getting great results using this with an oil cleanser on clogged pores), two devices for toning, and an LED panel with a whopping 1800 lights.  I'm experimenting with 30-minute treatments incorporating LED and either a brightening peel or a toning treatment. These will be quick treatments - you come in, lie down clothed on the bed, I drape you, double cleanse with the Volero, toning treatment or peel, 5 minutes of LED (remember, 1800 lights!), SPF if the sun's still out, done!

Normally a 30-minute treatment is $60 (or $55 each if you buy in a series of 3 or more).  As a special with these new devices, I will be offering 30-Minute Brightening Treatments or 30-Minute Toning Treatments for $30 each to the first 10 people to sign up.  These treatments work best in a series of either 6 or 8, ideally spaced 1 week apart, so if you come in for the $30 special, you can get the $30/30 minute rate for a package of either 6 treatments ($180 vs. $330) or 8 treatments ($240 vs. $440).  (If you can't come in every week, no worries,  you can still purchase a package, but it will take a bit longer to see results.)  For at home care I strongly recommend SPF daily and a minimum of 3 sheet masks a week for hydration during treatment. We'll document the process so we can really see just how much glow we can create in just 6 or 8 weeks!

MANYO FACTORY BACK IN STOCK WITH NEW PRODUCTS

The Manyo Factory order is finally in!  Favorites like the Bifidalacto Cream (under its new name, Bifida Ampoule Cream), 4GF Eye Cream (new name, 4GF Ampoule Cream), and Rosehip Oil Mist are back in stock.  I also have a fresh supply of the Bifidalacto Intensive Mask and the AC Treatment Mask.

I have several new products from Manyo Factory, including the  Vita-C Liquid Serum, a brightening anti-oxidant rich serum which you mix in the bottle right before you open it so it's superfresh.  This product pairs with the Vita-E Ampoule. Water-based vitamin C is notoriously unstable; pairing it with vitamin E not only makes the vitamin C work better but also stabilizes it, so this combination works best when used layered together.

Other new products from Manyo Factory include the Hyaluronic Acid Micellar Water (for gentle cleansing when you don't have time to double cleanse) and  AC Rescue Ampoule (this soothes irritation, reduces inflammation and acne, and hydrates). Make an appointment or drop by (text first to make sure I'm not with a client) to see what else is new!

NEW FROM LANEIGE:  If you love the Lip Sleeping Mask, Look What Else I Have . . .

If you love the original Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, I now also have the Lip Sleeping Mask available in Grapefruit and Apple-Lime.

I'm also carrying the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm, a daytime version of the Lip Sleeping Mask, which has a lighter texture and handy applicator.  This is an Asian import that does not seem to have been released in the US. Its available in 4 different flavors (Berry, Peach, Pear, and Grapefruit) and imparts a slight tint to the lips.

Lastly, for a touch of luxury, I have the LaNeige Stained Glassticks.  Like the Lip Glowy Balm, this is a Laneige product that does not seem to have been released in the US. Sheathed in a sleek metal tube with a gemlike base (the balm itself is a lipstick-like bullet with a top shaped like a faceted gem), this is a richly textured and tinted sheer balm that hugs the lips like the Lip Sleeping Mask while imparting a wash of clear MLBB (my lips but better) color.

I have five colors of the Stained Glassticks: Blue Topaz (a shiny sheer tint that cools down your lips), Pink Quartz (sheer pearly pink that warms the color of your lips), Peach Moonstone (gorgeous sheer peach-pink), Carnelian Rose (sheer soft pink-red color), Red Jasper (soft plummy wine).  I ordered these because I couldn't get the Water Drop Tinted Lip Balm I tested earlier in the year, but now that I've tried both, I think I actually like these better.

That's all for now!  Let me know if there’s a subject you would like to learn more about.  I look forward to seeing you all soon!

Best,

Shondra
