I am a Korean adoptee who uses my multi-cultural background and international tool-kit to help my clients reach their skincare goals, specializing in age management and Korean beauty.

At my studio I see only one client at a time.

Each service is custom-made for the individual client; no two treatments are exactly alike.

My studio is my workspace where I create unique facial treatments incorporating cutting-edge technology, time-honored traditions, and advanced techniques.

The products I use and offer to my clients are hand-picked or are exclusive offerings. While I focus mostly on Korean skincare, I carry products from all over the world.

Good skincare is not rocket science - with the right products, regimen, and treatment schedule most people can achieve skin that looks brighter and clearer and feels softer, smoother, and more resilient.

It’s just there’s SO MUCH out there - SO many products, SO many regimens, SO many treatments.

They treatments are designed for the client who is looking for advanced age management care without downtime, needles, or pain.

2) It can’t be a chore to use. Bonus points if it smells amazing or is especially easy to apply.

3) It has to have a “wow” factor - it can’t just be what everyone else already has.

my story

I am a Korean adoptee who uses my multicultural background and international toolkit to help my clients reach their skincare goals.

My fascination with skincare started early: I talked my dad into buying me my first lipstick when I was 5.

I wasn’t actually interested in wearing the lipstick - what interested me was the transformation that seemed to occur when someone put on the lipstick.

How making a change on the outside seemed to illicit or illuminate a change on the inside.

In my teens I started to have acne and my interest switched to skincare.

When I became an aesthetician at 43 after decades of doing many other things, every one in my family was like “of course - why didn’t you do this earlier?”

I adore skincare but hate the messaging in my industry that sort of goes “you MUST use Product X or get Treatment Y or you will be old and ugly and no one will love you.”

Skincare is not an essential service - if you don’t wash your face generally speaking you’re not going to drop dead or lose your house!

At the same time when we like what we see in the mirror it gives us confidence; when we are unhappy with what we see in the mirror it robs us some of our light.

My purpose in your journey is to help you find the right products and regimens that work for you without pain, or grief, or a hard sell. Choosing a moisturizer shouldn’t be a demoralizing experience, it should be fun!

Finding the most effective products and non-invasive treatments is an adventure I still enjoy exploring. I try to learn at least two new techniques or modalities a year. I am always testing new product and invariably have several different potions I am trying out. I am by nature inquisitive and skeptical - before it goes on a client, I test everything myself.

When not researching new treatments or testing product, I like to cook, read, and write (I had a play in the 2014 Maine Playwrights Festival), and of course spend time with my husband, child, Siberian husky, and enormous extended family (I have 9 siblings and over 50 first cousins).

In addition to my native English, I also speak fluent French, conversational Spanish, a smattering of ASL, and I am slowly learning Korean (I was adopted at the age of 7 months - I like to joke I am rediscovering my native culture though my two favorite things, food and skincare!)
